David Moorhead has provided criminal defense representation in the Boulder area and throughout Colorado for over
18 years. He has a graduate degree from Southern Methodist University Law School and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 1989 David began his legal career as Deputy District Attorney in Grand Junction. In 1992 he started his private practice focusing solely on criminal defense work and has been the Attorney of Record in over 3200 cases, in counties all over Colorado.

Christopher Griffin has more than 13 years of prosecution experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 17th Judicial District for Adams and Broomfield counties.
As a District Attorney, Griffin handled almost every type of criminal case, from thousands of traffic violations and DUIs to more than a dozen First Degree Murder trials. His expertise as a prosecutor gives him the ability to analyze any type of criminal case and provide thoughtful and reasoned counsel. He is extremely qualified to handle any criminal case and has won the majority of his cases. Serving as a District Attorney for many years and now practicing as a criminal defense attorney allows his to see both sides of a case, which provides a tremendous amount of value to his clients. |
When Broomfield became its own county in the Denver metro area, Griffin became the Senior Deputy District Attorney responsible for all prosecutorial duties in the City and County of Broomfield. He supervised the Broomfield District Attorney’s office for nearly four years, and worked closely with the Broomfield Police Department as well as Broomfield judges. With his recent experience in front of the majority of judges in Adams and Broomfield counties, Griffin has a unique understanding and perspective in these counties that greatly benefits his clients.
Now a partner with Moorhead & Griffin, he brings invaluable experience to any criminal case and seeks justice for those he represents. He provides crucial counsel to his clients on strategies and insight that could mean the di erence between innocent or guilty verdicts. Griffin has taught a criminal justice class at the college level and is a graduate from the
University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
